Life After twenty8twelve

There’s nothing like a grouping of Miller girls to get you in the spirit of summer, and on this occasion it was a tea party hosted by Savannah Miller at Knighsbridge’s Russian Tea House Mari Vanna, to celebrate the launch of her SS 13 collection.
Amidst the tiers of (largely untouched) cake, sister Sienna arrived fresh from Hollywood’s awards season with SS 13’s face Irina Lazareanu, who’d been shooting Savannah’s new campaign in London the day before.
“I really wanted to create something affordable,” says Savannah of her new line that’s stocked exclusively on Nelly.com and is refreshingly well priced.“For me, it felt really important to offer something sophisticated, for woman like myself who may have kids, and have been hit by the recession, but still want to look great … But are thinking ‘am I going to buy my child a pair of shoes, or myself a t-shirt?’ Quality has also always been really important to me and to be able to do quality at this price point: a challenge.”
Think ruffled mini dresses, the perfect peter pan collared white shirt - that doubles as a beach dress - and ribbon-tied cork wedges. Essentially the Miller summer escape wardrobe.
“I just think about my woman, what she wants, what she needs in her wardrobe, rather than getting distracted by themes,” she says, while looking through the rack: “This woman is slightly rock n’ roll, likes dressing up, but at the same time throws on a cosy knit.”
Savannah’s also stepped into evening in a bigger way than with twenty8twelve. “I’ve always been like NO, I don’t party so I’m not going to make party dresses, but actually it was exciting to do, and now I’m thinking hmm maybe…” she smiles.LOCK IT UP WITH LOUIS VUITTON: SEE THE LATEST JEWELLERY COLLECTION HERE
