To celebrate the opening of shoe maestro Nicholas Kirkwood’s New York store – located just a few steps from the High Line and future site of the new Whitney Museum  - we are doing a little stock take of his latest AW 12 fashion week collaborations for Peter Pilotto, Erdem, Roksanda Ilincic and Prabal Gurung. In typical Kirkwood fashion think higher than high, colour clashes, tweed textures and molten metallics ... i.e. shoes that are made for fun rather than walking.

Indeed, it’s been eight years since Kirkwood launched his eponymous label in 2004 at the tender age for 24, with his New York prime real estate (complete with views of a private garden courtyard and Chevron Versailles parquet patterned floors) now nicely accompanying his other posh London Mayfair digs.
