These sketches are a departure from my usual attempt at anonymity within my work. This experience is allowing me to toy with fashion iconography and as a painter, it is so exciting to have new images on such a forum within moments of finishing them. It's liberating to produce something so wonderfully fleeting and discover there is a place for it.
 
I was thinking about these models and where they disappeared to, one moment they were everywhere and now? Some women are timeless and defy any sense of expiration - I’m interested in what makes this so. These are a sort of ghostly homage to not only these individuals but to the line between 'disposable' and 'icon'.
