“Our girl this season is a bit tougher and carries a more masculine energy,” Dion Lee says of his AW 16 woman. It was a deep side part that solidified the look, tied back into a low ponytail at the nape of the neck. The creation of Hair Director John Reyman, the look unified the feeling of the collection. Fringes were cut thick and heavy, straight-lining the forehead to frame the face.
In keeping the beauty minimal yet defined, Lee explains, “we focused on a boyish brushed brow and a real skin look ... Val Garland created our beauty look using M.A.C Cosmetics”. A collaboration with jewellery label Sarah & Sebastian provided the final touches for a look that’ll be sure to filter from the runway to our everyday.
