Rainy Day Woman
A 'Rainshower' treatment. I didn't know what I was in for when arriving at the Aurora Spa at The Prince Hotel in Melbourne. Once you are scrubbed down, jets of warm water are used to massage tight muscles. A very odd feeling at first, but once you get used to the feeling of the water, the 'rain' noise and sensation is extremely relaxing.
Aside from the relaxation and super soft skin we spoke to Lyndall Mitchell, founder of Aurora Spa about its other benefits.
"The manual exfoliation helps to remove any dead skin cells from the skin, leaving the skin feeling buffed and radiant. The Vichy shower hydrotherapy component helps to increase circulation and blood flow, as well as stimulating lymphatic drainage as the jets of water pummel and massage the skin. This increase in circulation helps to detoxify and eliminate toxins from the body. The six jet water massage can target areas of muscle tension and help to release the tight muscles. Overall it is a great detoxifying and stress relieving treatment."
