We were treated to a tightly executed runway show at the Hordern Pavilion for Myer’s SS 13 collections with our favourite girls - a newly white blonde Ruby-Jean Wilson, Bay Berger, Eloise Boughton and Avril Alexander. Backstage we spoke to makeup artist Natasha Severino on working with Yves Saint Laurent Beauté for Myer:

"It was collaboration between Yves Saint Laurent and Myer and what we finally came up with was this sculpted makeup with dusty rose pinks and bronzing powders and very reflective mirror-like skin. I guess our palette came from where the catalogue was shot, in South Africa, amongst all that kind of dusty, desert-y terrain and so I think the colour palette came directly from that shoot ... It’s just a really polished, refined woman."

And the lips?

"Well, depending on the designer, there was this hot accent of neon orange on the lip in certain sections … So there’s this flow of neutral and then bang!"
