For Sara Phillips SS 12 at RAFW one of our favourite makeup artists to work with, Charlie Kielty, was the mastermind behind the look using Bobbi Brown cosmetics.

We talk to her about the look for the show and her best beauty tips.

Describe the look you created for Sara Phillips.
In Sara's collection this season the palette is of fresh clean spring colours, infused with some muted darker digital print. I wanted the girls to have a simple refined clean look, but injecting tints of colour in their face, to complement Sara's collection. The colours I have chosen are warm toasty bronze, a muted heather and a flash of corally pink on cheeks and lips. The texture of the skin is creamy and slightly wet looking to almost sweaty to bring a cool element to the look. Skin is the most important element to this look as it tonally needs to be even and have a creamy texture but still look like the models skin. So skin prep is very important, cleansing and moisturising, I am using Bobbi Brown vitamin E enriched moisturser. And then just working the foundation into the skin to even out.

What are your best beauty tips?
Taking care of your skin internally and externally is vital these days especially if you live in quite a dense polluted area, using creams that ward off free radicals, sunscreen/zink and loads of filtered water!! Also eyeliner seems to be an outgoing trend these days but I love it! If it's applied well it can really make your eyes stand out.
