It was inspired by Star Wars, Tron and Gladiator with just a touch of glam-rock. Models at White Suede's RAFW show attacked the runway with slick, futuristic 'dos. RUSSH spoke with Kevin Murphy, hair stylist for the show.

What was the look of White Suede's collection?

I wanted the hair to be sleek but not uptight. I wanted this woman to look strong and have a slight warrior look to her. My original inspiration was actually "anyone for tennis" - I wanted to create a tennis type bun with an extra twist.

Your top two hair tips?

To give your hair a extra pump for an event mix ascorbic acid (vitamin C ) with water and massage into clean wet hair for about 5mins, rinse then condition. This is like a beauty flash for the hair.

For curls, always apply your styling product to damp hair. If your hair is too wet, the water in your hair may weigh it down your curl as the product sets. You are best to wrap a towel around your hair for about 10mins to will remove the excess water. Then, scrunch your hair into a better curl and lift your hair at the roots as it dries.
