In 1988 Lisa Bonet was perfect. Her look was so right for the time; those dreads, the strong brows, the nose ring and all of those shredded vintage petticoats that you can only seem to find in America. It's minimal, feminine and deeply beautiful at the same time.

In a very conservative, preppy time, Lisa Bonet was an authentic woman - kooky and true. I experienced a little trip down memory lane with Lisa's film Angel Heart in which she stars with a handsome Mickey Rourke (pre-surgery), with the film’s wardrobe an obvious celebration of Bonet’s intrinsic sense of style. I think the time is right to revisit this.
