sass & bide showed their SS 11 Papa Sucre collection in London and proved it takes a special girl to have a sugar daddy by enlisting Kakuyasu Uchiide, shu uemura International Artistic Director to create a look of grunge meets romantic.  “When I first saw their latest collection, I felt it was a fantasy of a material mix, yet a taste mix: a rock chic, a tribal and a romantic girl. Those are everything what women in modern day want,” says Uchiide. “I strived to express these essences: freshness, strong vitality and a bit of dreamy taste.”

Top knots by Renya Xydis completed the look. How do you do it? “Pop your hair in a top knot then ghd the ends of the hair (textured, not straight), then wrap and leave the ends out as to look like a fringe. But that’s without the cornrows,” says Xydis. If you want the original look – which we do: “then start 2 cornrows from the back, then tie in a top knot.”
