It was Oscar Wilde who said: “one should either be a work of art, or wear a work of art.” Cult Australian label LifewithBird understand that we can’t all be works of art, all the time, but we should be able to wear them without having to raid the Louvre and strap canvases to ourselves. For their latest summer collection LwB have collaborated with the renowned Spanish photographer/graphic/web designer Rocio Montoya on a series of prints exclusive to the range. As a devotee of surrealism, Montoya’s graphics depict nebulous shapes in bold colours that appear to move with the fabric, globbing about in space. Her abstract touch offers an element of artistry, surprise and irreverence to the otherwise clean lines and restrained elegance of the collection.
