Sydney Contemporary - Australia’s new international art fair - brings together modern and contemporary artwork from over 80 home-based and International galleries. This is Carriageworks at its biggest yet.
Among our favourites was an exclusive preview of Sydney Ball’s October Fields (1976). He ran with Rothko in New York and now we see this large-scale work exhibited for the first time ever by Sullivan + Strumpf. Dale Frank, another homegrown artist, has our full attention with his gold framed, two-by-three metre canvases; an edit from his new collection entitled Nobody’s Sweetie, showing at Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery in Sydney’s Paddington.
Sydney Contemporary runs from 19-22 September at Carriageworks.
