Mitchell Lyne. You know him (and if you don't, you will by the time we're through). He's a gemini who looks forward to "new sounds and people" and wouldn't say no to a beverage. He DJ'd a few of our New Issue parties and, as an artist-slash-graphic designer, has worked for some of Australia's top labels. And his next trick? A debut solo show - Elevation - exploring the effects of altitude on the human body at the Richard Martin Gallery this Thursday.

"When a human being reaches certain heights, a number of things can occur," Lyne tells us when pushed to explain the concept. "Minor distortions at first, the body quickly deteriorates and brain function becoms increasingly affected the higher up the body is. The thin atmosphere at such altitudes will lead to a warped state of mind; with hallucinations, irrational behaviour, loss of memory= and disorientation occurring - as well as a physical breakdown. How high? The higher the altitude, the more rarefied the air and, arguably, the more elevated the experience."
