Late last year we spent some time with Jasmine of GALA Curios. Now, the collection we discussed over tea is in stores. Here's a little something from Jasmine on it:
"I really wanted to capture this mood of aching, beautiful despair, and for this I referenced a lot of imagery, including Millais' Ophelia, in the creative direction of the shoot. Then, coincidentally, Melancholia came out about two months after we shot the imagery and was really a film about this same mood, captured perfectly and with exquisite beauty. Watching it really did justice to the ideas I was trying to evoke for the shoot and the collection, and reinforced for me their potency and relevance for today. Thanks Lars!"
