“Who’s that band? They’re amazing…” whispered the crowd at the launch of our Summer Film Festival with True Religion at Buckler’s Canteen in Bondi. With the black and white of True Religion’s SS 12 campaign films flickering on the wall, we drank smooth Ciroc vodka cocktails, Brass beer and had no choice but to stand aside when the crowd located their goodie bags – a pair of True Religion jeans for him, denim shorts for her.
 
That girl. Isabella Manfredi. The band. The Preachers. She wore black lace and denim, dark lips and black reading glasses. All we wanted to do was dance, but it was a Tuesday night and the rest of the week was on our shoulders.
 
Next time we promise to dance Isabella, if you’ll sing for us again.
