Burberry Prorsum SS 12

Burberry took over Kensington Gore yesterday in what can best be described as a celebration. While the front row was like no other seen this week, the collection itself outshone them entirely. Staying true to their British heritage, this was Christopher Bailey at his best as he presented a colonial feeling collection complete with handcrafted beads, crochet, raffia and braided leather. The trench was there, of course, but this time it had a friend in asparagus parka with an exaggerated raffia trim sure to be the piece the collection is known for. As U2’s hit Everlasting Love filled the tent it was clear it was time to rejoice.
