Juice cleanses. Some people swear by them and do them regularly throughout the year. Others say our body doesn't need to cleanse as it is designed to do so itself. I used to be in the latter camp and then I decided to give it a go … just to see. I asked Laura Minford of Urban Remedy about the benefits of detoxing. My cleanse taught me a few things:
1. We eat a lot of food we don't need!
2. Juices can be added into your everyday as nutritious snacks and desserts.
3. You can be surprisingly full just drinking juice all day.
I didnt loose any weight on the cleanse but after my Urban Remedy 3 day program I was reminded of how good you feel eating nutritious meals and how you can eat less but better quality food. In the future i will do one or two cleanses a year just to remind myself that I am eating too much and feel a little lighter.
